Trying to conceive and then finding out you are pregnant is such an exciting, yet daunting time. You want to do everything to nurture and grow a healthy baby, but don’t know where to start. It is just as important to ensure you nourish yourself, setting up for a positive birth and postpartum period. I will be able to help you navigate through the nutritional needs of conception & pregnancy and put in place a plan to guide you through each trimester, plus manage any symptoms that pop up along the way.
When it comes to postpartum, nourishing, nutrient-dense food plays a critical role in a mother’s internal healing and recovery. Food is the fuel source for the body, providing energy when sleep-deprived, key nutrients to produce breastmilk and helps to regulate hormones. It is a time when nutrient demands are the HIGHEST they will ever be in your life. I can help you identify areas where you need a little more support, to ensure you feel energised and adequately nourish yourself and baby.
The first 1,000 days of a child’s life – from conception through to 2 years old – plays such a critical role in the growth, development, and long-term health of children. I can support you through your child’s solids journey, whether that be where and how to start, or to navigate the challenges that may arise along the way, such as eczema, food sensitivities, constipation or general feeding difficulties.
Kelly has helped me transition my baby into solids smoothly. She has given me the best advice and knowledge on the nutrients he needs at 7 months. I didn’t even know where to begin prior to working with Kelly! I highly recommend her for mums and bubs.
Thanks to Kelly I actually feel vibrant! Which is what I wanted and the whole reason I had a consultation with her. I am generally a very healthy person and thought I knew a lot about nutrition…. But postpartum nutrition requirements are more complex than I thought. Kelly was able to help me navigate where I was going wrong with my nutrition and describe exactly what I needed to add to feel my very best during this intense time. It was such an eye opener for me and has helped immensely!
I met with Kelly after having my third baby to get advice on how to avoid postnatal depletion and boost my energy to keep up with my 2 other young children. Kelly suggested some supplements to try and ways to balance my diet to ensure I am getting enough nutrients to replenish my body whilst breastfeeding and support my baby. She was warm and welcoming to talk to and after implementing a few of the changes she suggested I am already noticing improvements within myself.
Kelly helped me a lot in terms of educating me on what I should be eating with my second pregnancy. She was extremely knowledgeable in all nutritional aspects and helped with a detailed summary and plan which best suited my individual needs. She picked up on a lot of nutrients and vitamins that I was lacking and told me specifics which would immensely help with nourishing myself and baby and I’m so glad she educated me second time round. If only I did this the first time!
After the birth of my second baby, I wanted some help to get back into shape and onto a healthier eating path. Kelly was able to suggest some simple and effective changes to enable me to get through a busy day in a healthier and more sustainable way. I’m also looking forward to getting stuck into some of the recipes she has sent over… not just for me, but for my family too. She is a fountain of healthy knowledge and an avid researcher to boot.
